Setup, licensing, billing, and support — organized so you can find the answer fast. Still stuck? Our Discord is the quickest way to reach us.
1 — Getting started
What it is and how to run it
What is Sentinel Core Vision?
A real-time computer-vision desktop application for Windows with a local dashboard you open in your browser to configure it. It detects and tracks objects from your video source and sends output to a supported input device.
What are the system requirements?
Windows, a GPU-capable PC, and a video source to capture. GPU acceleration uses NVIDIA (CUDA/TensorRT) or AMD/Intel (DirectML) via ONNX Runtime. The full list is on the Downloads page.
How do I install it?
Download the installer from the Downloads page, run it, and follow the prompts. Then launch the app and paste your SCV- license key when it asks.
What happens on first run?
You enter your license key to activate, then the app checks your system and starts the local engine. From there you choose your capture source and output device in the dashboard's Setup.
How do I open the dashboard?
With the app running, open a browser and go to http://localhost:5000. That's your control panel — every setting lives there. It's served from your own machine, not the internet.
Does my video feed leave my computer?
No. The engine and dashboard run locally on your PC. The only outbound network call is a lightweight license check to confirm your subscription is active.
2 — Licensing & activation
Keys and machine binding
Where is my license key?
It's shown on your account page right after purchase and emailed to you from support@. Sign in anytime to copy it again.
What does a license key look like?
Keys use the format SCV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX — a prefix and four groups of characters. The launcher formats it as you type, so paste the whole thing.
How do I activate my license?
Launch the app, paste your key into the license field, and confirm. It validates against our server, binds to this machine, and unlocks the engine in a few seconds.
I got an "invalid key" error — what now?
Re-copy the key from your account page to avoid typos or extra spaces, confirm your subscription is active, and check your machine limit. Still stuck? Message us on Discord.
How many machines can I activate on?
Each license activates on a limited number of machines, tied to a hardware id. If you hit the limit, deactivate an old machine or contact us to free a slot.
What is a hardware id?
A hardware id is a fingerprint derived from your PC's components. Activation binds your key to it so the license can't be shared, while still letting you move it when you need to.
3 — Moving & reinstalling
New PC or new hardware
How do I move my license to a new PC?
Deactivate on the old machine to free a slot, install the app on the new one, and activate with the same key. If you can't reach the old PC, contact us to release it.
Will reinstalling Windows break my activation?
A clean Windows reinstall can change your hardware id, which may use another activation slot. If you run out, message us and we'll reset your bindings.
I installed a new GPU or changed hardware — will it still work?
Major component changes can shift your hardware id and count as a new machine. If activation stops recognizing your PC, reach out and we'll clear the old binding.
How do I deactivate an old machine?
On the machine you're leaving, deactivate the license from within the app before wiping it. That frees the slot so you can activate elsewhere immediately.
I lost access to my old PC — can I still move my license?
Yes. Message us on Discord or email [email protected] and we'll manually release the old binding so you can activate on your current PC.
Do I have to buy again to reinstall?
No. Your key stays yours for the life of your plan. Reinstalling or moving machines never requires a new purchase — just activate again with the same key.
4 — Connectivity
Internet, firewalls & antivirus
Do I need internet to use it?
You need a connection for the periodic license check that confirms your subscription is active. The vision processing itself runs locally on your machine.
What happens if I go offline?
Short drops are usually fine, but the app must reach the license server to verify your subscription. If it can't validate for an extended period, the engine may stop until you're back online.
Does it work behind a firewall or VPN?
Generally yes, as long as the app can reach our license server over HTTPS. If a strict firewall or VPN blocks activation, allow the app through or try without the VPN.
My antivirus flagged the installer — is that normal?
New or less-common installers sometimes trigger a false-positive from heuristic scanners. Download only from our official Downloads page; if in doubt, ask us on Discord before allowing it.
How do I allow it through Windows Defender?
If SmartScreen or Defender blocks it, verify the download came from our site, then choose to allow or restore the file. Only do this for the official installer.
5 — Compatibility & performance
Windows, GPUs & speed
Which Windows versions are supported?
It's a Windows desktop app targeting current, fully-updated versions of Windows. The exact supported versions are listed on the Downloads page.
Which GPUs does it support?
NVIDIA cards use CUDA/TensorRT, while AMD and Intel GPUs run through DirectML, all via ONNX Runtime. The app auto-detects your hardware and picks the fastest available provider, with a fallback if one isn't available.
My FPS is low or latency feels high — why?
Performance depends on your hardware, model, configuration, and environment, so results vary and aren't guaranteed. Try a lighter model, lower capture resolution, and close background load; the dashboard shows live timing to help.
Does the model choice affect speed?
Yes. Larger models are more thorough but slower; lighter models run faster. You can switch models from the dashboard and compare their timing in real time.
What capture sources can it read?
It reads a video feed — desktop capture of the same PC, or a capture card feeding in from a console or second machine. Sentinel auto-selects a suitable capture mode for the source it finds.
6 — Billing & plans
Subscriptions, lifetime & refunds
What plans are available?
Monthly and 3-month subscriptions, plus a one-time Lifetime license. All unlock the complete app and every update — see the full breakdown on the Pricing page.
How do I cancel?
Open your account page and choose "Manage subscription" to reach the Stripe billing portal, where you can cancel anytime. You keep access until the current period ends.
How do I update my payment method?
Use "Manage subscription" on your account page to open the Stripe billing portal, where you can update your card and view invoices. Payments are handled by Stripe.
What does the Lifetime license include?
Lifetime is a single payment with no renewals that unlocks the complete app and its updates — the same full feature set as the subscription plans, without recurring billing.
Do updates cost extra?
No. Updates are included with every active plan and with Lifetime. Updates may add, change, or remove features and adjust system requirements over time.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. Read it for the details, then contact us if you have a question about your specific order.
7 — Account & email
Sign-in and messages
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your email during checkout or from the sign-in page. Your account holds your license key and subscription details.
How do I confirm my email?
After signing up, open the confirmation email we send from support@ and click the link. If it isn't in your inbox, check spam and promotions folders.
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in page, choose "Forgot password" and follow the link in the reset email. Set a new password and sign back in.
Who do emails come from?
All our email — confirmations, resets, and receipts — comes from [email protected]. Add it to your contacts so messages don't get filtered.
I didn't get the email — what should I do?
Check spam, promotions, and any filters, and confirm you used the right address. Wait a few minutes, then request the email again; if it still doesn't arrive, contact us.
8 — After purchase
Your key, download & help
What happens right after I pay?
Checkout completes, your account and license key are created instantly, and you're taken to your account page. A receipt and your key are also emailed from support@.
Where is my receipt?
Stripe emails your receipt to your address on file. You can also view invoices anytime through "Manage subscription" on your account page.
Where do I download the app?
Head to the Downloads page to grab the installer. Install it, launch the app, and paste the key from your account page to activate.
